MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN, October 9 (PIA) – The Southern Philippines Meat and Livestock Show (SPMLS) will gather various livestock industry associations and exhibitors here to highlight the island’s 34th Lanzones Festival set on October 20-27.
SPMLS brings new and exciting activities for the celebration like the horse show basic training competition, dog show, agri-science quiz show, live animal exhibits and processed meat products display.
The Municipality of Impasug-ong, Bukidnon and Del Monte Philippines, Inc. will also bring the National Student Rodeo Championship to the province.
Maysie T. Batinga, Chair of the SPMLS Executive Committee and President of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association – Northern Mindanao (PVMA-NM) said the SPMLS & Rodeo Show aims to showcase the country’s challenges and comparative advantage in the industry, as well as, entice the youth in their career choice, to hopefully become part of the livestock industry when they grow up.
The theme for this year’s SPMLS & Rodeo Show is “Promoting Quality Homegrown Food,” this will be their 6th show, the first five were all held in Cagayan de Oro City in partnership with the local government unit of Misamis Oriental (for the first three shows), Lim ket Kai Business Center (4th show) and Xavier University in Manresa (5th).
