MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN, October 23 (PIA) – Five outstanding Essential Health Care Package (EHCP) implementing schools were awarded here during the in-house program review held at the Camiguin Convention Center, this month.
The schools were adjudged based on the functional set-up of its health corners, drinking and hand washing facilities, as well as, on the knowledge of teachers on the program and management of supplies.
The final evaluation result for year 2012 declared Binunsaran Elementary School on first spot for both EHCP Outstanding School and Classroom Categories.
Grabbing the second place for the classroom category was Sagay Elementary School, followed by Maac Elementary School on the third spot.
Mambajao Central School was also named second under the Most Outstanding School Category, followed by the Alangilan Integrated School in Sagay town.
Camiguin Governor Jurdin Jesus M. Romualdo, leads the ceremonial distribution of awards together with Santo Betonio, EHCP Evaluation team Leader; Helen Piaña, Fit for School, Inc. Regional Project Officer; Roy Angelo Gazo, DepEd Camiguin, Schools Division Superintendent, and other local officials. (JCV/PIA)
