Mambajao LGU spells out priority agenda


MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN, November 29 (PIA) – Economic, good governance, environment and social services were among the priority areas identified by the local government unit (LGU) of Mambajao to make up its executive-legislative agenda (ELA) for year 2013 to 2016.

ELA is a term-based plan of the LGU outlining its priority programs and projects in a manner that is specific, measurable, attainable, and realistic.

“Clean and Beautiful Mambajao- Our Way of Life Program is an innovation of our continuous effort and commitment to protect our children’s children, preserve the synergy that brings us closer to our environment and conserve the living definition of life to the fullest,” Mayor Ma. Luisa D. Romualdo said.

Vice-Mayor Roldan Chan likewise reiterated the importance of ELA as channel connecting all constituents and resource institutions within the Municipality of Mambajao for the sustainable and equitable progress.

To achieve a sound business climate, the LGU now eyes on boosting all tourism related activities like the development of new tourism sites, implementation of the approved tourism master plan, creation of the municipal tourism office, and more.

Major infrastructure projects laid in the plan include the improvement of the existing airport, upgrading of public market’s facilities and the construction of new fish port, public market and commercial arcade project, also included in the list, is the funding allocation for the completion of the Mambajao Municipal Hall.


Trainings in support to crops/livestock and fisheries production as well as protection seminars will also be put in place.

In matters of transparent local governance and environmental protection, continuous inputs in the e-legislative tracking systems manager and to the Kalikasan Law enforcers shall likewise be initiated.  (PIA)
