Gov’t continue to pour aid to needy constituents


MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN, February 13 (PIA) – Needy constituents here continue to obtain immediate assistance from the government through the Provincial Social Welfare Office (PSWDO).

The local SWDO report bared a total of P1.8-million medical assistance released to some 2,437 recipients in 2013.

Other forms of aid extended to individuals in crises situation include burial, financial, and patients transport (ambulance service to Cagayan de Oro) assistance.

The Social Pension for the Indigent Senior Citizens aged 77 up is likewise in full swing in the province, giving away P500 monthly pension or around P3-million in the last quarter of 2013.

Moreover, some 258 survivors of typhoon whose houses were totally and partially damage were also given assistance in the form of housing materials.Image

Apart from the regular aid program, the local government in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD) likewise released a total of P4-million worth of sustainable livelihood assistance.
