Yes Pinoy Foundation, an advocacy championed by its founding chair Jose Sixto “Dingdong” Dantes III awards a scholarship program to DepEd official from Camiguin Island.
This year’s sole graduate education program scholar, Bazil T. Sabacajan is the Administrative Officer of the Department of Education (DepEd), Division of Camiguin. Sabacajan, a summa cum laude candidate received the grant-in-aid program and educational entitlements for his PhD at the Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The award was given on September 16, 2014 at Yes Foundation in Cubao, Quezon City.
In a statement, Dantes thanked the scholarship search committee headed by Xavier S. Padilla, executive director of Yes Pinoy Foundation on their availability and generosity in taking a supportive role to the important work of the foundation.
Since its inception in 2009, the Yes Pinoy Foundation’s “Para sa Edukasyon, Para sa Bayan” Program awarded deserving students in the Basic Education, College, and Graduate Education Programs in accredited schools, colleges and universities in the country.
As basis for selection, YPF considers all Filipino citizens who are full time students that demonstrate high academic achievement and who also possess good attitudes. (Jeyson Rendon/PIA)
