MAMBAJAO, Camiguin, January 9 (PIA) — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) posted a total of P86.14 million investments in 2014.
Taking the lead this time are investments related to the health Industry, with the Camiguin Medical Center in Mahinog town topping the list with P15 million capitalizations, and another P3 million investment for a dialysis center in Binaliwan, also in the same town.
Other investments included in the top five are the Dive Special Camiguin, located in San Roque, Mahinog with P9M capitalization; Nene Uy Space Rental at P3M, and Northern Lights downtown lodging house at P2M, both located in the capital town, Mambajao.
As for exports, Arjael Coco-Charcoal Factory remains to be the lone exporter in Camiguin, producing a total volume 1,090 metric tons of coco charcoal granules to Japan amounting to US$ .256 million.
Meanwhile, to further boosts the investments, the DTI initiated the Shared Service Facility (SSF) to help micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) become more competitive, and improve the quality of their products.
