The KASAMMA association with 70 members has ventured into dried fish and squid processing and became a hit to local residents, tourists and institutional markets outside Camiguin for 15 years now.

DTI’s SSF is a livelihood assistance program that intends to give Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) access to better technology and more sophisticated equipment for marketable production and competitiveness acceleration.

On a national scale, DTI said the SSF project is envisioned to assist most of the 81,221 SMEs with high potential to expand and to generate an additional 200,000 jobs in various locations of the country. (Zita M. Abellare, DTI-Camiguin, PIA Cam iNet)
