CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, April 7 (PIA) – Free summer sports clinic is on for children and teens aging 7 to 14 and below in Camiguin.
Dubbed as Kiddie Summer Escapade, the program offers lessons on swimming, taekwondo, soccer, tennis, and even extends further to painting, choral, piano and guitar lessons.
Camiguin governor Jurdin Jesus M. Romualdo believes that pushing for projects as this, motivates kids and teens to be productive and active during vacation. It aims not only to provide recreational activities but also to develop their skills on other interests, be it in sports, music, or arts.
Kiddie Summer Escapade is now on its second year, and will be expanded to cover the towns of Guinsiliban, Sagay, and Catarman or the GUIN-SA-CAT district.
Provincial information officer Nykolsha Mae H. Closas called on interested persons to register now at the Governor’s office; it started on Monday, April 6 and will last until April 15.
The summer clinic will be held at the provincial convention center for Mambajao and Mahinog children, while the GUIN-SA-CAT district will be at the in Langujanan ni Ta Inggoy, Sagay Gymnasium, and Sagay Municipal Hall.
Closas, meanwhile, said that auditions for piano and choral will be hold separately on April 10 for Mambajao and Mahinog at the convention center. (Cheri Lian Ansale/JCV/PIA)
