NTC inspects communication facilities

MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN, April 15 (PIA) — All cable TV facilities, maritime stations, telecommunication facilities (including fixed/land based), mobile and repair shop centers here were inspected by the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) during their visit last month.

Other than the regular inspection, the team also scheduled mobile licensing activities in Mambajao and Catarman towns.

Attached to the mobile services were the conduct of the Restricted Landmobile Radio Operator Seminar (RLM) and the issuance of certificates.

They also accommodated registration of dealers, retailers of cellular phones and repair shop centers, as well as, consumer welfare and protection desk to cater concerns like blocking of stolen/lost cellphones/sim and text scams/malicious text messages. (JCV/PIA)
