DTI pours P15M for shared service facilities for Camiguin

MAMBAJAO, Camiguin, January 7, 2016 (PIA) – A big push in the provision of machinery, equipment, tools, systems, skills and knowledge under a shared system was noted by the Department of Trade and Industry provincial office in Camiguin.

DTI has released these to cooperatives, associations, groups of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), local government units, or individuals needing assistance to improve the quality of their products.

Since 2013, a total of P15, 341 million has been subsidized for various shared service facility (SSF) equipment for food processing, coco coir, bamboo crafts, and sewing machines.

As for last year, P3.4 million was allocated for the SSF project; some were already turned over, while the Abaca, corn brew, and other food processing equipment are set to be distributed this month. (JCV/PIA)
