MAMBAJAO, Camiguin, September 28 (PIA) – Pushing to boost its support to the president’s anti-illegal drug campaign, the provincial local government unit (PLGU) in Camiguin convened all members of the anti-drug council from the province down to the barangays, this month, to strengthen law enforcement and layout strategies.
Aiming to revitalize the local anti-drug council, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) shared insights about the barangay drug clearing operations.
The participants included the local chief executives, provincial and municipal anti-drug council (P/MDAC) members and barangay chairpersons of the committee on peace and order.
Camiguin PLGU funded the activity to orient the members of their respective functions and roles in the implementation of the Philippine National Police (PNP) anti-illegal drugs campaign plan dubbed as “Oplan Double Barrel.”
A pool of trainers was likewise identified during the activity to cascade to the barangays the standard procedures in apprehending criminals. (JCV/PIA-10)
