MAMBAJAO, Camiguin, April 17 (PIA) – To provide a venue for dairy farmers to discuss common interests affecting the sector, the Dairy Confederation of the Philippines will hold its 20th Dairy Congress and Expo on May 3-5 at the Provincial Convention Center, here.

The event will be hosted by the Mindanao Alliance of Dairy Industry Stakeholders (MAIDS) with the support of the Provincial Government of Camiguin, National Dairy Authority (NDA) and Philippine Carabao Center (PCC).

Debbie De San Miguel, planning officer of NDA, said that the DairyCon has chosen the province as the venue for this year’s congress since the dairy farming in the area has flourished through the years and the local government unit has shown enthusiasm in developing the industry.

For this year, the event is geared towards substantially raising the productivity and incomes of dairy farmers, augment the base herd, create new market niches, and accelerate the realization of a self-reliant countryside.

For members, the registration fee is P2,000 per person and P2,500 for non-members. The registration already includes the congress kit and identification card, souvenir program, snacks and lunch. Board and lodging are not included in the registration.
