MAMBAJAO, Camiguin, September 4 — The Department of Labor and Employment, (DOLE)-X Camiguin Provincial Field Office (Cam PFO) recently conducted a project proposal writeshop to 40 livelihood association representatives and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers and staff at Cabua-an Beach Resort, this municipality.
DOLE-X Cam PFO Chief Emmanuel G. Toledo informed that the two-day activity aimed to generate an increased submission of project proposals from aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as teaching the department’s beneficiaries and partners in formulating a group business plan for the sustenance and growth of their livelihood ventures.
“In this way also, we can help the budding entrepreneurs start their businesses right and help them alleviate out of poverty,” Toledo said.
The DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) Focal Person Charlton James R. Busa discussed the salient features of Department Order No. 173-17 and presented the format of the project proposal. He also conducted the writeshop and highlighted the different techniques and strategies in writing project proposals.
Meanwhile, DOLE-X Supply Officer Orlando N. Abrenica, Jr., explained the project financial plan where he expounded the importance of financial statements and its contents which are the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow.
To fully grasp the theories presented, the participants were grouped for a workshop in making the financial statements as well as their production cost, which is essential in the formulation of the total project cost.
Owakan Rural Improvement Club Auditor Feliciana T. Vicente said, “Dako akong pasalamat kay naa’y gipahigayon ang DOLE nga ingani na activity nga dako ug tabang kanamo. Nakadugang kini sa among kahibalo ug makatabang pod kami sa uban kay kabalo nami unsaon paghimo ug project proposal.”
