DILG-10 enlists 3 Camiguin towns to SGLG

CAMIGUIN, November 9 (PIA) – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-10 named the towns of Mahinog, Mambajao and Sagay to the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), Pagkilala sa Katapatan at Kahusayan ng Pamahalaang Lokal, 2017 Awardees.

 

For this year, the DILG implements the SGLG 2017’s ‘4+1’ assessment criteria where the three towns of Camiguin have passed the four core areas and at least one essential area in Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Tourism, Culture and the Arts, and Environmental Protection.

The other areas evaluated in the local government units include Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection, and Peace and Order.

 

A total of 29 awardees made it to the list in the region including 2 provinces, 4 cities and 23 municipalities.

 

For seven years now since it was launched as Seal of Good Housekeeping, the SGLG has been a vehicle that drives the LGUs to aspire for better programs and policies.(RTP/PIA10)
