CAMIGUIN, December 29 (PIA) — The Camiguin Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) is set to create a task force to oversee and implement the use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices in the province.
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) OIC-Provincial Director Rhona P. Abadilla said during the PPOC fourth quarter meeting held recently at the Camiguin Provincial Convention Center that enactment of Republic Act No. 7183, an act regulating the sale, manufacture, distribution and use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices, aims to address the increasing incidents of firecracker related injuries and casualties.
