CAMIGUIN, August 7 (PIA)–To determine the present level of capacity in the aspects of planning and implementation of local development projects, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted a municipal workshop on July 24 at Villa Paraiso Resort Apartelle, Mambajao, here.

She also encouraged the participants to be transparent because the activity will serve as a guide for Regional Office and Central Office in designing capacity development activities to further enhance local governance.
Sagay Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Emily Ching-Popera, who also serves as the cluster head and Provincial Assessment Team lead administrator, shared the importance of the workshop on self-reflection as public servants.
On the breakout sessions, the MLGOOs assisted their respective LGUs on answering the competency assessment tool.
Attendees of the activity include the municipal governments’ key informants, composed of officers/personnel from local development project planning, procurement and contract management, project end-users or implementers, project managers/officers, legislative representative, business sector representative, nongovernment organization/ civil society organization (NGO/CSO) representatives, barangay captains’ representative; and DILG Camiguin.
